System Introduction

Ham Assistant is an information query and management tool designed specifically for radio enthusiasts (hams). It aims to provide convenient call sign query, repeater information query, QSL card management and other functions to help hams conduct radio communication activities more efficiently.

Ham Assistant V2.0 has added an information verification and ranking system, allowing users to more intuitively understand call sign activity and repeater status.

Main System Features

  • Call sign query and information display
  • Repeater information query and verification
  • Call sign and repeater information submission
  • Communication verification and activity statistics
  • Call sign and repeater ranking system

Query Function

Call Sign Query

Users can enter a complete radio call sign (e.g., BH9AC) or a national/regional call sign code prefix (e.g., BG) on the call sign query page to search for related information.

Query Steps:

  1. Go to the Ham Assistant homepage and click the "Call Sign Query" menu
  2. Enter the complete call sign or call sign prefix in the query input box
  3. Click the "Query" button or press Enter
  4. View query results, including call sign owner information, operation class, etc.

Repeater Query

Enter the city name to query local repeater information

Query Results Include:

  • Repeater frequencies (uplink/downlink)
  • CTCSS frequency
  • Geographical location information
  • Verification status and activity level
  • Last update time

Information Submission

Call Sign Submission

Users can submit their own call sign information to the system for other hams to query and communicate. The system will automatically convert the entered call sign to the international standard uppercase format.

Privacy protection tip: For QSL card mailing address, it is recommended to fill in a vague address. If you only need electronic QSL, you can directly fill in your email address.

Repeater Submission

Users can submit radio repeater information from their location to help improve Ham Assistant's repeater database. Please note that you can only submit information about amateur radio repeaters that are legally allowed to be made public in your region.

All submitted information will be reviewed within 30 days. Approved information will be published in the system for querying. For information that is not approved, the reason will be notified via the reserved email address.

Information Verification

The verification function is an important feature of Ham Assistant V2.0, designed to help hams identify and confirm call sign and repeater information during communication activities.

Call Sign Verification

Users who have communicated with a particular call sign can click the "Verify for Them" button on the query results page to increase the verification status value of that call sign. Combined with the number of call sign queries, it can intuitively reflect the communication activity of that call sign.

Repeater Verification

Users can verify queried repeater information as "valid" or "invalid" to help other hams judge the actual status of the repeater. The higher the verification status value, the greater the possibility that the repeater is currently operating normally.

For repeater information with long-term negative verification values, the system will automatically clean and delete it to ensure the validity of database information.

Ranking System

The ranking system helps users quickly understand the most active call signs and most reliable repeaters by displaying the Top 20 rankings of call sign verification status and repeater information verification status.

Call Sign Ranking Basis

  • Number of verification participants
  • Query count statistics
  • Information completeness
  • Activity trend

Repeater Ranking Basis

  • Verification status value
  • Number of queries
  • Information update frequency
  • Regional coverage
